Changes to our Low Rate Visa Credit Card Terms and Conditions
We have updated our Low Rate Visa Credit Card terms and conditions, effective 08 May 2024.
Below is a summary of the key changes:
- We've combined the credit card contract terms and conditions with our general account and access facility terms and conditions into one document so all the important information is in one spot.
- We've reformatted the document to make it easier to read and understand.
- We've included a new clause relating to gambling transactions to comply with the Federal Government's changes to the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. From 31 May 2024, you will no longer be allowed to use your Low Rate Visa Credit Card to pay for gambling transactions (see below for more details).
Gambling Transactions
- We may decline or not authorise credit card transactions registered under a gambling and lottery merchant code including purchases made at gambling associated venues and online sites.
- We may rely on information from the merchant to identify the gambling transaction, which may not always be correct.
- If a gambling transaction is authorised, it will be treated as a cash advance.
- These provisions regarding gambling transactions do not oblige us to decline a gambling transaction or limit your liability to us in relation to gambling transactions processed to your credit card account.
What do you need to do?
There is nothing you need to do now; however we encourage you to read the update document available on our website here as you are bound by these Terms and Conditions by continuing to use your account.
